Book Cover Sketches - Module 4

      I have chosen to do a redesign cover for The Hobbit, since I recently begun rereading The Lord of the Rings collection and thought this could be a fun book to do a book cover for. My aim is to include a hobbit hole on the front cover that has the doorway looking like the ring, which Bilbo finds during his journey and begins the adventure that would end up establishing a very large following for the franchise. While I have figured out the Gestalt principle I would like to utilize for my project, that would utilize the similarity of objects to create a unified image of Bilbos home, that features a round doorway and the ring, two things he ends up valuing greatly after his journey, I'm still trying to decide which creative effect to use. I do think however it could be fun to try and make the image black and white, but utilize color solely for the ring which is gold to signify the importance of the ring throughout the story.
